The English Association is sponsoring a campus-wide book drive to provide deserving children with new and gently used books just in time for the holidays. All donated books will be given to the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston and More Than Words, an organization based in Waltham that provides assistance and educational opportunities to youth who are in foster care, court-involved, homeless or out of school.

Book drive at Roseland library

ROSELAND – The Roseland Free Public Library, 20 Roseland Ave., has launched its annual “Books for Kids” book donation drive.

Book donations will be accepted through the end of the year and will be distributed to the Offender Aid and Restoration’s Patchwork Family Program and other social agencies.

Last year thousands of disadvantaged children from all across New Jersey were given the chance to own a book of their own through this program.

Donors can give a child the gift of reading by bringing a new book or books to the library’s collection box.

Books for children from preschool through age 14 are needed.
